Traffic calming residential program in SZENTENDRE

By using traffic calming measures at the area between Vasúti villasor and Római sánc the goal of the municipality of Szentendre was to create a plan that is supported by the majority of residents. We used a three-step mechanic in which we worked with the residents and the municipality to reach a result that everyone can stand behind.

We presented the finished plans at a public forum in the assembly hall of the City Hall. The goal of the event was to inform residents and get feedback while surveying the support for the plans as well. The vast majority – 95% – supported the presented plans.

Creating an ECO-map of ZUGLÓ

The map, created as part of the Interreg ENES-CE program is a tool that aims to help the residents of Zugló to start or continue a green lifestyle and to extent sustainable lifestyle to as many areas of life as possible.

The eco-map that is available both in online and offline forms was created with help of local green NGOs and communities: the Zuniverzum eco-community helped with the content while our civil partner in the municipality, the Bread Community of Zugló (Zuglói Kenyérközösség) helped with proof-reading the map.

Helping cooperation between municipalities and institutions to improbe air quality

One of the main goals of this project regarding air quality is to help facilitate a continuous cooperation between the capital, the districts and the professional institutions. We developed policy regulatory proposals together. By acknowledging the fact that air does not stop at the border of settlements the project analyzes measurements and possible intervention areas on a larger scale, in the Functional Urban Area, or FUA.
